Dan Southern
Pastor Dan Southern is an Ordained Bishop who holds degrees in Theology, Christian Education, Counseling, and is also a Chaplin with the Church of God. He has over thirty years of experience in ministry. He has written extensively for the local media and served on a variety of boards, including The Drug Free Coalition, The Local Management Board, and The Children’s Council. He has also worked and served in the field of Special Education.
He has been awarded Outstanding Young Men of America 1980 and 1983, Who’s Who among Students in American Universities and Colleges 1980, International Who’s Who of Professionals 1996, and the Extraordinary Service Award, Queen Anne’s County Community Partnership for Children 2006.
He mixes humor and relevant truth to his preaching and teaching style. As always, he places emphasis upon the life changing power of God’s word.
Pastor Debbie Southern
Our first lady, Debbie Southern, has been a pastor’s wife along side of her husband, Dan, for over 41 years in Indiana, New Jersey, Maryland, and Delaware. They have three grown sons and six grandchildren who are the joy of their lives.
Debbie is an ordained minister in the Church of God. She shares a pulpit ministry with her husband teaching and preaching the Word of God. She also sings and plays the piano. Debbie is passionate about prayer and worship.
She is loving and friendly and enjoys people. Her warm sense of humor and caring spirit easily makes others feel accepted. She is a vital part of the ministry team here at Stein Highway and is well loved by her congregation. She and her husband work together as a team and definitely complete one another in their callings.

Carol Hill
Pastor Carol Hill was saved right here at Stein Highway Church of God in August of 1979. She has held numerous positions through the years, including head of the Bus Ministry (5 buses), choir director, worship team leader, and an Elder in the Church. She loves to use her gift of singing during worship, but her heart is in ministering to people. Pastor Carol has a warm, caring personality, and truly cares about those around her that are hurting. She is a “people person,” and always makes visitors and long time members feel welcome at Stein Highway Church of God. Pastor Carol is licensed and ordained through Chesapeake Bible College in Ridgley, Maryland.
